Test video – KINESIS Freestyle2 Ergonomic Keyboard w/ VIP3 Lifters :

Product highlights :

  • Left and Right V-Lifters: the V-lifter quickly and easily alternates the slope of the keyboard from 10 to 15 degrees, positioning your forearms and wrists in a more comfortable position by reducing pronation.
  • Integrated, padded palm supports ensures that wrists are neutral while resting.
  • Use with or without the pivot/tether. The pivot tether connects the two keying modules of the Solo keyboard together. Disconnect the pivot tether if greater separation is required
  • Provides a highly stable typing platform with no “bounce”.

Helpful for broken arm – I broke my arm about six months ago and my arm still doesn’t turn like it should. This keyboard is so helpful. I still can’t type for a long time, but now I can position my arm better. One side of the keyboard can be raised while the other side stays flat, if you wish. I have one for the office office and one for the home office

Does what it is intended for – I got it for when I travel for work. Easy to store and set up.

    3. C. F (verified owner)

OMG, the best keyboard EVE! – It seems I type all day, and have gone through keyboards, have broken keys, and have particular criteria I need in a keyboard, and specific things I don’t want.

Gets the job done – Even though the price is pretty painful, if you need, you need it. Really helps my wrist pain enormously. I’m sure it won’t work for everybody, but it helps me. It’s not mechanical, but the action on the keys is not bad at all, they aren’t too hard to press. I think this style of keyboard should really be standard, it’s so much more comfortable for me. I use it at the maximum raised angle with both halves pushed together completely, it works great in that configuration for me. Some people will prefer more separation, and it can do that as well. Whatever you need, this can do it. It’s a lifesaver.

Works Great For What I Need! – Before buying this keyboard, I went through 4 MS Sculpt. I finally decided to bite the bullet when my last one failed. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t do it sooner. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and have seen a huge improvement on how my wrist feels. The only con is the keyboard is so large. It’s basically a full size keyboard split in half. Therefore my fingers have to make huge strides just to press keys.

Your hands are worth it! – I’m a court reporter, and I either type on a qwerty keyboard or write on my steno machine every day. With that being said, I abuse and work my hands to the bone. I had been using an ergonomic Microsoft keyboard for years, until it finally died on me. I very last-minute bought a cheap normal keyboard until I could figure out what I really wanted. That was such a mistake, since I’m always typing. It took a toll on my hands, and I was starting to feel pain ALL the time, even when I slept. So I started searching until I came across this Kinesis keyboard. OMG. What a dream! The keys are so soft and comfortable. I love the split keyboard so I can position my hands and adjust as I get tired. I was skeptical at first, but we also have this style of steno machines, and people swear by them. So glad I took a chance and got this for myself! The pain subsided as soon as I started using this keyboard. It was a little strange at first, but I just told myself to not think about it and just type. It literally took me about 10 minutes to get used to it. I would recommend to anybody who types all day long!

Great for shoulders; hard on hands – This keyboard has a fantastic layout and the most comfortable keyboard position for my wrists and shoulders, but I find the keys too hard to easily depress, giving me finger fatigue after typing. It also pushes out the mouse too far, but at least that is adjustable. I do love the layout and extra cut/copy/paste and other useful buttons for Mac, and the volume /brightness controls work great! but couldn’t figure out what the ABC buttons are meant for, and I wish there was a Ctrl-w and Ctrl-q shortcut to close windows.
