Sturdy construction, good transfer rates, and ZERO interference… – As a user of a newer iMac, I’m all too familiar with the troublesome nature of USB 3.0 hubs/devices and how they interfere with bluetooth, since the newer iMacs use bluetooth for the keyboard and mouse. The main criterion I look for in USB 3.0 hubs and enclosures now is the ability to remove (and replace, if necessary) the USB cable.

Nice reader and port hub, but the USB 3 cable it comes with is too short. – I like it, the USB 3.0 cord it came with was too short, though. This is perfect for use on a desk, and it’s a reasonable assumption a USB 3 port might be a little further away than a couple of feet. I upgraded the cord and all is well. Also, when I purchased, it wasn’t clear that the power cord is included on the 6-port model with SD-card reader, so I have a superfluous power adapter.

SD Card Readers do not work – On the whole, it’s a nice way to have my thumb drives accessible for easy use. But neither of the SD card slots work, which is 100% a bummer as I figured a powered USB hub would have no issues with this. They all work fine when plugged directly into the port on the back of the computer but I was looking to avoid that.

Runs hot, but OK – The device seems to perform as advertised, I wanted a powered hub since a number of different devices tend to operate better that way. Card readers and USB is plenty fast, but I did notice the USB thumb drives left plugged in for more than a couple of minutes get *very* hot to the touch. The device itself seems fine.

Sturdy well made product – This is a very sturdy well made product. I am impressed with it’s quality and love how many USB ports it has! I will be able to charge lots of devices just on this little charger. It also would travel well due to its size.

So a pretty flaky environment in general – I have had this now for a few months. Running windows 7 pro over my DIY intel box, I do a lot of development work on USB based credit terminals, iPhones, Androids, etc. so I run a lot of oddball USB stuff. I also run a lot of VM’s that use devices on USB. So a pretty flaky environment in general, but this thing has been super reliable. I’m impressed. Also like the SD card reader is an unexpected but great ad, lets me pull photos off my Sony camera and has been bullet proof thus far. Wish the cable were a bit longer, but not a biggie.

Works very well! – I built a new rack mount PC with the rack away from my desktop, but still needed to connect several devices. This solved that problem and also serves as a media card reader. I love that it’s active and comes with a beefy power supply.

It’s Mostly Great – It is a beautiful piece of equipment to have on my desk. I like that the cords are neat and orderly and in straight lines when more than one device is plugged in. The only downside is with my wireless mouse. I must remove the receiver from the port and replug it each time I want to use my mouse.
