Got a full refund. – I got this MacBook because it’s the perfect size. It would have been my second one. Unfortunately, there were a few dents and the K key didn’t work. I applied for a refund. I reset the whole computer, which was a bit difficult and required that I contact Apple Support. I returned the computer and got a full refund a few days later. So it worked out in the end. Would do business with the seller again if it means I get a working machine.

Unit arrive promptly in Apple packaging and in mint condition – I confess I’m a “cult” fan of the MacBook 12. I bought two for the house when the 2017’s came out – “his and hers.” However, I wish that I could have gotten one with the i5 or even better the i7 with 16mg of ram. So this week when Apple announced they were discontinuing the line I eventually spotted this unit on Amazon. It was significantly less in cost than other colors. Could it really be because it was “gold?” I took a chance. An i5 unit with twice the storage as my first ones. Well the unit didn’t make it in one day but a lone motorcyclist showed up at 9 am the following morning – with just my package. The MacBook was shrink-wrapped in an original apple box and all of the packaging looked new. At first I thought I saw some scuff marks but they were on the wrapping- interesting. The computer itself is in mint, like-new, condition. The first thing I did was look up the cycles on the battery and there were only 9. The computer was probably a return used only for a very short period of time. I had to upgrade it first to Catalina before migrating my data from my old MacBook – destined for a family member in need. I have it set up to run Parallels and Windows 10, Office, etc. Everything is perfect. The key to this unit as far as longevity and warranty is really the lone usb-c port. If it goes bad (and I know of two which did, both, coincidentally, in the rose-gold flavor) there’s no way to charge it without getting it replaced. All I can say is this unit “renewed” arrived looking more like new, and the original apple packaging and power supply were a nice touch. All in all pleased especially considering how much I saved compared to the other i5’s available in silver or gray.

Satisfied Overall – I ordered the refurbished MacBook 12″, 2017 version after dropping my MacBook Pro 13″ and breaking the screen. Given the high cost of a replacement screen ($350+), grabbing the smaller MacBook with greater storage/memory for only $100 more seemed to make sense. Thus far, I have been really happy with most everything about the Baby MacBook! It’s crazy light, easy to use and the screen is brilliant. I am slightly disappointed that it came to me with a notice that the battery needed maintenance. I would have thought battery replacement would be part of the refurbishment process. Secondly, the top has some ‘play’ in the hinges which is a bit aggravating, although not to the point of being a major issue. I would make the same purchase again if I had it to do over! Overall, I love the MacBook 12″ and even though its processor isn’t as powerful than my MacBook Pro, I still prefer it over the latter.

Good enough to use but expected more from what was advertised… – Mac 12inch is okay. I expected it to be refurbished better. 2 dents seen right away and battery life is not good. I expected better. Plus the left shift key isn’t working. Charger looks new though. Came in with a white generic box which is fine as expected. Otherwise, laptop is functional and will make do for its purpose.
