More powerful than my Intel MacBook Pro with an all-day battery. – In five years, I’ve had two different generations of Intel-based MacBook Pro for work. When it came time to buy a new personal laptop, I knew I wanted a MacBook, but preferred something lighter than a MacBook Pro. I also wanted better battery life, but really didn’t want to skimp on raw compute power. It turns out the MacBook Air M1 is super light, way faster, more memory efficient, cooler running and has a battery that can last all day without a charge. True, processor intensive stuff will deplete the battery faster, but for web surfing and office productivity stuff, yes, it’ll last all day.
